چکیده
Non-destructive Structural Health Monitoring techniques can be incorporated into bridge integrity management by assessing structural conditions. This paper describes a performance assessment of steel truss railway in Bratislava using vibration-based as further part maintenance addition to standard visual inspections. To obtain the necessary data, multipurpose measuring system was used. Various types data were measured, e.g. accelerations, strains, and displacements. The advantage that traffic over not restricted, even though carries only single curved track. Two test campaigns conducted assess bridge. One campaign devoted ambient vibrations order perform operational modal analysis, second carried out measure strains displacements during train passage. results show successful identification structure vibrations; finite element model verified validated comparison displacements, well parameters. According obtained, health investigated satisfactory.

Seismic Retrofit of Bridge Steel Truss Pier Anchorage Connections
In assessments of the seismic adequacy of existing steel bridges, the steel-to-concrete anchorage connections typically found at the base of steel truss piers can be potentially vulnerable, having little to no ductility and inadequate strength to resist seismic demands. Many other non-ductile failure locations may also exist along the seismic load path. Failure would result in unacceptable perf...
متن کاملSeismic Vulnerability assessment of concrete railway bridge using nonlinear analyses
Bridges, as an essential part of transportation system, play a special role in economy, politic and military all around the world. Serviceability of bridges is of high importance especially in emergencies, helping injured people and proportioning transportation after earthquakes. Earthquake regulation codes, normally suggest linear methods to conduct the analysis, and nonlinear analysis is bare...
متن کاملOptimization of Double Track Railway Bridge Superstructure Using FEM
The purpose of this paper is to optimize truss bridges with a span of 50 m and 60 m long at different heights while they are subjected to wind and railway loading. Later the bridges are compared according to the most important analysis outcome such as deflection in order to identify the optimum bridge height. The analysis and design of double track bridge for modified broad gauge loading is don...
متن کاملSeismic Performance of a Ductile Retrofitted Deck-truss Bridge
Seismic evaluations of many existing deck-truss bridges have revealed the vulnerability of their substructure and members of their superstructure. An innovative retrofit strategy developed by the authors includes replacement of the existing non-ductile end and lower-end bracing with ductile panels by incorporating energy dissipating devices to act as fuses, which can yield and dissipate energy ...
متن کاملComparison Study on Neural Networks in Damage Detection of Steel Truss Bridge
This paper presents the application of three main Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) in damage detection of steel bridges. This method has the ability to indicate damage in structural elements due to a localized change of stiffness called damage zone. The changes in structural response is used to identify the states of structural damage. To circumvent the difficulty arising from the non-linear n...
